When requested whether or not the group originated from the comics or one thing wholly new, Kripke stated, “We got here up with it. It’s a mix of a pair totally different Hollywood fringe religions or cults.”
“There’s a bit of little bit of NXIVM in there. Everybody says, ‘Oh, that’s Scientology.’ It’s really a smoothie of a bunch of various ones,” he stated. “It principally happened as a result of we love writing for The Deep.”Kripke likened The Deep to “the Forrest Gump of Hollywood tendencies” in that he at all times appears to be caught up in one thing newsworthy. “In Season 1, he was embroiled in a #MeToo second. And in Season 2, we’re like, ‘All proper — he needs to be like Allison Mack and go be part of a cult,'” stated Kripke.
“After which in season three he’s gonna be like Leah Remini in preventing again towards the cult,” Kripke added, referencing Remini’s collection depicting her combat towards Scientology. “He’s simply going to maintain blowing by means of these totally different Hollywood factors. The thought of him attempting to self-realize when he’s simply such an fool was entertaining to us.”The Boys Season 3 will officially start filming in 2021, and can introduce us to Soldier Boy who is played by Supernatural star Jensen Ackles.
