The Golden State Warriors are honoring the “We Imagine” period and the franchise’s Oakland days with new Nike Metropolis Version uniforms.
On Monday, the group unveiled its “Oakland Eternally” jerseys, that are impressed by the franchise’s look from 1997 to 2010. The group moved to San Francisco after the 2018-19 season following 47 years in Oakland.
“Oakland is and eternally shall be a part of this franchise’s id,” Warriors president Rick Welts said Monday in a news release, including that the marketing campaign “will deepen our ties and impression in Oakland via a devoted deal with group efforts, advancing academic fairness, and offering protected entry to well being and wellness assets.”
The “We Imagine” Warriors grew to become the primary No. 8 seed to defeat a No. 1 seed in a seven-game sequence once they took down the Dallas Mavericks in 2007.
Here is a take a look at how the franchise is honoring the period of Warriors basketball:
Oakland is and can all the time be part of our group’s id.
“Oakland Eternally,” introduced by @Rakuten, is a nod to the We Imagine period and its turning level in Oakland’s basketball historical past.
