It took the New York Giants all of 1 play with good discipline place to tie Thursday night’s game at 7-7 within the first quarter on the Philadelphia Eagles. The Giants did it with a tricky, contested catch by Golden Tate down the seam that became a 39-yard landing.
Giants quarterback Daniel Jones gave his receiver an opportunity to make a play. He noticed Tate, understanding of the slot, matched towards Eagles cornerback Cre’Von LeBlanc and let it fly regardless of 0.39 yards of separation, in response to NFL Subsequent Gen Stats.
However Tate, who’s often known as the YAC (yards after the catch) King, leapt over LeBlanc on the play to make the seize. LeBlanc did not flip his head and was unable to make the deal with after the catch.

Tate ran the ultimate 16 yards into the top zone. It evened the rating with 4:13 remaining within the first quarter. It was Tate’s first receiving landing of the season and Jones’ fourth landing move this season.
It was Jones’ eighth “dime” throw for a TD for the reason that begin of final season, probably the most by any QB within the league. NFL Subsequent Gen Stats defines a “dime” as a move with 30-plus yards of air distance that was thrown into a decent window (lower than one yard of separation).
